In 2016, Micah began their personal yoga practice as a sophomore in high school.  Over the years, their practice expanded, going beyond asana (physical postures) and deepening into yoga philosophy and the path of bhakti (devotion).  Yoga accompanied Micah on their spiritual journey as they sought the path to expand their consciousness and gain greater awareness.  The call to become a yoga teacher came while working as an elementary educator at a Forest School in the woods of midcoast Maine.

Every morning, Micah would lead a breath and movement exercise to initiate the flow of the day, and this experience affirmed the value of pursuing a Yoga Teacher Certification.  In summer 2025, Micah traveled to the Sacred Valley of Peru to obtain a RYT-200.

Micah is currently dedicating their time to be of service to the collective, working as an energy healer and light worker through the lineage of Reiki, bhakti, plant medicine, and as an artist.  Yoga has been a natural addition to the tool belt of practices to help empower the mind, body, and spirit connection.

In Micah’s class, you can expect an emphasis on pranayama (breathwork), one-pointed focus, and weaving intention into both the practice and everyday life.  Micah’s passion is to create space for people to heal with intention and authenticity as they receive the medicine they need. You are also likely to find Micah starting and/or ending class with the beautiful practice of mantra, as accompanied by the healing vibrations of the harmonium, a classical instrument from India.

Through this beautiful practice of yoga may we quiet the mind, stay centered in the heart, and be devoted to cultivating more love, light, and peace in this reality.  Blessings abound!
