Would you like to fine-tune your practice to focus on building strength and stability? Somatic yoga uses a mindful awareness of your body, energy, and breath. Combining that mindset with strength-based postures can help you reach your goals.

This workshop will explore simple functional anatomy, showing how your body supports your postures and movements. It will help you customize your practice for your body. We will test various areas of strength, discuss postural tendencies, and break down familiar yoga poses to see how small adjustments can focus your muscle engagement.

While this workshop is geared toward a more athletic practice, your level of participation is voluntary. You are welcome to observe and practice to your comfort level. Questions and discussion are encouraged.

Please dress for an active practice. Yoga mats and props are available at the studio, or you are welcome to bring your own.
