Our breath can be a powerful tool to help us stay present, centered and feeling sane in this overwhelming world.

Yoga refers to working with the breath as Pranayama, which means to harness the power of prana (life force energy), via the breath. Some translate Pranayama to breath control, but ultimately the practices are not about mastering control, but actually about creating freedom. Each month we’ll explore different ways to work with the breath, sometimes through more formal Pranayama practices, and sometimes with simple techniques that take just a few moments.
