She/Her | RYT-200

My yoga journey started in 2005 with physical postures (Asana) practice as a workout to calm my restless mind and to manage stress from unsustainable and profit driven workplace environment. Throughout the years I discovered two of the other limbs of yoga, meditation (Dhyana) and breathing techniques (Pranayama) which have profoundly transformed my yoga practice; it became an invitation for my mind and body to befriend and meet at the heart space where my inner-peace and freedom reside. I earned my 200-hour RYT in 2019 and have been offering gentle yoga classes as community of practices at my current workplace (a wonderful non-profit organization with a great mission) to promote mindfulness, self-care and compassion to self and others. Yoga has become a philosophy of life; I consider myself a lifelong yoga student. I’m also an avid golfer and my yoga practice definitely helps me to enjoy my golf game both from a mental and physical spaces (as we all know, hitting a long and straight drive down into the fairway is not because of the big arms!). When I practice yoga, my mind finds stillness, my body is centered, and my heart is filled with love, serenity and gratitude. Together, let’s practice, learn, connect and awaken with a peaceful heart.
