Hello and welcome!!! My love of yoga is more than what I can share with you here, so please allow me to try and express in a few short words how I went from knowing little about yoga in my early 30’s, to now being an instructor 20+ years later. I am grateful for the opportunity to spend time with you on the mat!

My first experience with yoga was 20 years ago when I purchased a VHS tape titled Yoga for Beginners. For years, I practiced this yoga instruction tape at home, and also read magazines and books related to yoga before stepping into a studio (as studios were not common where I lived at that time). I finally discovered a few in-home studios and enjoyed years of practice with some inspirational instructors. After several years of practicing, I couldn’t stop talking about the benefits of yoga with friends and family; that is when I began to explore the idea of teaching. Years later, In 2018, I joined a studio and enrolled in their training program and completed my RYT-200 certification in 2019. Since my certification, I have been teaching online Gentle and Hatha Yoga for Beginners. Teaching Beginners has brought me back to my early yoga roots where you begin to notice the awareness of the mind, body, and breath, when you detach and find stillness and peace, and when you embrace comfort at the end of a practice.

I enjoy holding the space for those of you who are new to yoga, and also for the experienced individuals who want to re-explore the foundation of yoga in a basic and welcoming space. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
